B06 vs B01, B02 and B05: Choosing Camping Lights for a Retail Range

Choose the BAIFEI B06 when your retail range needs a higher-output camping and area light: its published specification lists 2,000 lumens and a 13,500 mAh battery. Keep B01, B02 or B05 on the shortlist when an entry model, an intermediate output level or a different mix of controls better suits the customer. A useful B06 vs B01, B02 and B05 comparison starts with the job each model will do in your range.

This guide translates the published specifications into purchasing questions. The figures below are nominal product references, not results from a side-by-side test. Sample evaluation should determine which model meets your intended brightness, operating time and packaging requirements.

All four product pages list USB-C charging. B06 also lists a 16 cm product diameter; this is a product dimension, not a retail-box or shipping-carton measurement.

Read output and runtime as separate specifications

The runtime entries refer to different operating settings. They do not mean that the maximum listed light output is maintained for the longest listed duration. Ask for the setting, test conditions and end point behind each runtime before adding a claim to a product listing or carton.

Battery capacity alone cannot establish useful operating time. Different brightness settings and electronics affect the result, and mAh values do not describe stored energy without battery voltage. For a practical comparison procedure, use our rechargeable camping light runtime and battery guide.

Three ways to select models for a retail range

1. Launch a focused two-model camping range

For a first listing, compare B01 and B06 as two distinct product roles. B01 is the published entry platform; B06 has the highest listed output and battery capacity in this group. This pairing gives buyers a clear comparison between a basic option and a higher-output option, provided the samples and final commercial terms support the positioning.

Keep B01 if your customers mainly need personal camping or household backup light and the sample meets that task. Add B06 when customers can identify a reason to choose its output, capacity or mode options. Before ordering both, write one sentence explaining who should buy each; if the descriptions are interchangeable, refine the assortment.

2. Serve campsite and mobile-business customers

Shortlist B05 alongside B06 when customers describe longer evening use, shared tent areas or mobile operations. B05 lists 1,600 lumens, an 8,100 mAh battery, three light colors and stepless dimming. B06 lists higher nominal output and capacity, with White, Warm, Natural and SOS/red modes.

Choose B05 if its sample meets the customer’s working brightness and operating-time requirement. Choose B06 when its evaluated performance justifies the step up for that application. Set the lights at the intended position and assess the actual table, tent or work area: total lumens do not establish usable coverage or comfortable light at a particular distance.

3. Build an intermediate option for mixed retail channels

B02 is a useful comparison candidate when B01’s listed output does not match the brief but the buyer does not need the full B06 specification. Its published 1,200-lumen output and 7,200 mAh capacity sit between B01 and B05, with High, Mid and Low modes.

For a mixed camping and household-backup assortment, start with B02 and compare it against B06 using the same customer task. Retain B02 if it provides the required experience and fits the agreed commercial plan. Request quotes for the exact packaging and accessories before deciding the price ladder; a larger battery does not, by itself, establish the landed-cost difference.

A decision checklist before approving samples

  1. Define the use. Record the installation position, activity, expected hours per session and opportunities to recharge.
  2. Set a usable-light requirement. Agree where brightness will be checked and what counts as insufficient light. Do not judge only by the brightest initial impression.
  3. Compare the relevant settings. Request documented runtime conditions and evaluate samples at settings appropriate to the same task.
  4. Check everyday handling. Assess the controls, mounting arrangement, charging access and instructions supplied with the proposed configuration.
  5. Confirm the pack. Obtain actual packed dimensions, gross weight, accessories and carton quantity. Do not use B06’s 16 cm diameter as packing data.
  6. Approve the commercial scope. Record the model, battery configuration, artwork, required product files and acceptance criteria in the quotation and sample approval.

Buyer questions

Is B06 the right choice for every camping-light retailer?

No. B06 is the highest nominal-output option in this comparison, but the right assortment depends on customer use, sample performance, packaging and the quoted commercial terms. B01, B02 and B05 may already meet the intended task.

Does B06 provide 2,000 lumens for 40 hours?

The published figures do not establish that claim. They list nominal light output and separate runtime references for different settings. Obtain the corresponding mode and test conditions before making a combined output-and-runtime claim.

Should a new buyer order all four models?

Only if each has a distinct role. Start by sampling the models that answer your customer brief, then choose a range with clear differences. A focused assortment is easier to describe, compare and evaluate during an initial launch.

Request a B06 comparison sample quotation

Send BAIFEI your target market, sales channel, intended use, required operating time, shortlisted models and estimated order quantity. Include any logo, retail-box or accessory requirements. Ask for an itemized sample quotation and the current specification for each offered configuration so you can approve the range on the same basis.
